Wayne is passionate about music. He writes, "Music is the universal language, reaching the heart and soul. It can transport you to a place and time just by hearing a familiar song. You can see, smell and taste the exact moment it was first heard. God uses music as the medium to reach into our souls. The Singers and Musicians walked before the Ark. Music leads us into worship and is a vital part of every service." Also, Wayne is a 2nd degree black belt in the Tuko Ryu Karate Do/Shotokan lineage, achieving several national and world championships! Wayne enjoys Cajun cooking and is a silversmith, specializing in Navajo style turquoise and silver jewelry. Joe Fuentes, JanitorJoe Fuentes has been cleaning buildings for as long as he can remember. He started off in the local school systems and eventually retired. Feeling a bit restless, he worked at St. John's church for a while, and then around 2015 he started cleaning here at First Presbyterian Church. Joe has been faithfully keeping out premises sparkling ever since. When he doesn't have a vacuum or mop in hand, he loves to work in the garden where he tends the flowers.
